Kaitlyn Schrick Chaney advises corporate and financial institution clients in a wide range of transactional matters, with a particular emphasis on finance transactions and regulatory compliance. She has extensive experience as counsel to lenders and borrowers in all types of commercial finance transactions, including single-lender and syndicated credit facilities, first and second lien credit agreements, asset-based loans, and unsecured financings. In addition to her representation of a variety of community, regional, and international financial institutions, Kaitlyn’s clients frequently include public and private companies engaged in the real estate, construction and development, retail, hospitality, franchise, energy, healthcare, aviation, and manufacturing industries. In addition to drafting loan documentation, Kaitlyn is well versed in negotiating all aspects of commercial loan transactions. Her vast experience allows her to identify potential pitfalls, liabilities, and risks for her client, while still working to move the transaction toward a smooth closing. Banks and borrowers often seek her assistance to structure financing arrangements around complex corporate structures or regulatory requirements. In her role as lending transaction counsel, Kaitlyn frequently draws upon her diverse career experience as a transactional lawyer, which includes representing clients in a broad range of corporate and business matters, including stock and asset mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, entity formation and organization, corporate governance, and compliance matters.
