Matthew Berde Bio

Matthew Berde is a Partner of MCLLP. Prior to joining MCLLP, he practiced in the Banking and Finance Group of Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP in Dallas, Texas. Mr. Berde’s practice covers a variety of financing transactions, with a focus on representing sponsors and borrowers in acquisition financings, asset-based facilities, in- and out-of-court restructurings and fund-level credit facilities. He has represented clients across a number of industries including healthcare, software, environmental services, industrials, and oil and gas. Mr. Berde has been recognized by the Best Lawyers guide as a 2024 Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® in America for Banking and Finance Law. Mr. Berde received his Bachelor of Arts degree in History and a minor in Economics from Northwestern University. Mr. Berde then earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Virginia School of Law, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif. Mr. Berde is licensed to practice law in the State of California and the State of Texas.
