Adeeb Fadil is an environmental attorney and Partner of MCLLP. Prior to MCLLP, he was senior counsel and co-head of the Environmental Practice Group at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, where he advised on environmental and health-and-safety aspects of complex domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions, and similar transactions for a broad range of clients, including private equity funds, their portfolio companies, and other private and public companies. He also has broad experience with similar aspects of capital markets transactions for both issuers and financial institutions and acquisition finance and other credit transactions for borrowers and lenders. His experience also spans a broad range of industrial and commercial sectors, including specialty chemicals, commodity chemicals, electrical power, oil, gas and other conventional energy, solar, wind and other alternative/clean energy, heavy and light manufacturing, transportation, logistics, healthcare, hospitality and real estate. Mr. Fadil has also taught courses on human rights and the environment and on environmental justice, in each case, as an adjunct professor at the Elizabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University. Mr. Fadil earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia in History (with a concentration in American Studies) and English with the highest distinction and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. Mr. Fadil then earned a Juris Doctor degree from the Yale Law School, after which he clerked for the Honorable Robert R. Merhige, Jr., a federal district judge in the Eastern District of Virginia. Mr. Fadil is licensed to practice law in the State of New York and in the District of Columbia.
