Benjamin Brickner is a partner in the firm’s corporate and finance practice group and is resident in the New York office. Ben’s practice focuses on corporate finance, securities and capital markets transactions. He counsels clients on bank finance, early-stage and start-up venture financings, SEC compliance, and broker-dealer/registered investment advisor compliance. He also has significant technical knowledge of and has written extensively about decentralized finance (DeFi) and Web3-focused blockchain technologies and digital asset transactions in the metaverse. In addition, Ben has experience with school construction finance involving federal subsidies as an investment feature, including Qualified School Construction Bonds. Prior to joining Manatt, Ben was counsel in the Democracy Program at the Brennan Center for Justice at NYU School of Law. Prior to that, he was an associate at an international law firm in its Corporate Department and Real Estate Group.
