Anthony Schouten is a partner in the firm’s New York office. Anthony maintains an integrated corporate practice with a focus on derivatives and structured finance, asset-backed finance and warehouse agreements, and other structured credit transactions. He is also experienced in blockchain space, having authored opinions regarding the treatment of tokens under applicable securities and commodities law. His clients include leading asset managers, major investment and commercial banks, and operating companies. Anthony regularly advises clients in the business of creating cutting-edge products that require customized “outside the box” solutions. He also counsels banks and investors in connection with financing loans in the consumer fintech space. Following law school, Anthony served as a law clerk to the Honorable Beverly Cohen of the New York State Supreme Court and to the Honorable Nial Fennelly of the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg. Prior to joining Manatt, Anthony was a partner at a large national law firm in New York City.
