Matīss has over 10 years of experience in legal services and his main practice areas include corporate law and dispute resolution. Besides being involved in numerous M&A and competition law projects, he is also a recognized expert in IP matters. Matīss has received his bachelor’s degree in Law at the University of Latvia, further specializing in EU and Competition law at the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands. For further qualifications, Matīss has completed a master’s program at the Riga Graduate School of Law. Matīss is currently a partner at the Magnusson Latvia office, as well as a member of the Latvian Bar association. While being an expert in his own field, Matīss also shares his knowledge with law students across various Latvian universities and he is fluent in three languages – Latvian, English and Russian.
