Bio

Giles is a Partner and Head of the Corporate Finance Department. He specialises in mergers and acquisitions, management buy-outs, group reorganisations, joint ventures and shareholder disputes. He has acted for private equity-backed companies and owner-managed businesses. He has worked on a number of portfolio acquisitions and disposals involving multiple simultaneous transactions. He heads up the firm’s Care Team and also has experience in the hotel and leisure sector. He is a specialist in advising limited liability partnerships and family-owned businesses. Giles is the Chairman of the firm’s Remunerations Committee, having previously been a member of the firm’s Strategy Board. He is well known in the Yorkshire market for his experience and approachable style and excellent client service.
