Luigi Cascone joined Ughi e Nunziante in 2012 after an experience of over eight years in a leading Italian firm, gaining considerable experience both in the judicial and arbitration fields, and in the corporate and contractual fields, especially in the energy sector and in the financial sector and insurance. After graduating in Law from the La Sapienza University of Rome, Luigi specialized in comparative and international commercial law, first obtaining a master's degree from the University of Aix-en-Provence in droit des affaires internationales and, subsequently, obtaining the doctorate in uniform and comparative commercial law from La Sapienza University of Rome and the Postgraduate Diploma in International Commercial Arbitration from Queen Mary University of London. After having carried out the assistance activity at the chairs of comparative private law of the University of Rome La Sapienza and LUISS Guido Carli, Luigi regularly carries out teaching activities for various master's courses organized by these universities, dealing in particular with corporate law, private international and contract law. Luigi has published several articles in important Italian and international journals on arbitration. Luigi regularly assists Italian and foreign companies before arbitration tribunals (ad hoc, ICC, Milan Chamber of Arbitration, ICSID etc.), as well as before Italian courts. He speaks fluent Italian, English and French as well as having a good knowledge of Spanish and Portuguese.
