Ari Mintzer Bio

Ari Mintzer is a partner in the firm’s Corporate Group. He represents clients such as private and public companies, private equity sponsors, and financial institutions in sophisticated M&A and financing transactions. He is adept at negotiating and drafting complex credit facilities, mezzanine loans, and multi-tranche financings in connection with acquisitions, recapitalizations, and restructurings. Ari’s finance experience also includes representing clients in the litigation finance asset class with regard to their transactional needs. Ari has served as a trusted business partner for public companies in various roles over the past decade. With previous experience as assistant corporate secretary and associate general counsel for public companies, including Illinois Tool Works, Hillrom Holdings, and Baxter International, Ari’s counsel extends beyond the legal issues and considers the business implications of various legal options. Using a strategic problem-solving and business-focused approach, Ari develops creative solutions to complex matters. Because of this approach, Ari is a well-respected strategic partner, with corporate leadership looking to him for both legal and business advice. Ari earned his J.D., cum laude, from Northwestern University School of Law and his B.B.A., with honors, from the University of Michigan. Outside the office, Ari enjoys running and spending time with his wife, children, and dogs. He is an avid University of Michigan fan and a polar plunge devotee.
