Bio

Min Young Park is a partner in the Corporate and Japanese Practice Groups at Lee & Ko. She advises clients on various issues in the areas of Mergers & Acquisitions, Cross-Border Investment, Corporate Law, Compliance and Antitrust & Competition. Additionally, she has particular expertise in representing Japanese clients with business in Korea and vice versa. Ms. Park’s expertise extends to diverse areas including restructuring and M&A. Some of the high profile cases she has been involved in include the establishment of holding companies for SK Group and CJ Group, the sale of Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering by Korea Development Bank, the acquisition of Star Lease by Woori Bank, the acquisition of Huneed Technology by Boeing, and the sale of Tower Hotel and dispute over management rights. Ms. Park has also represented many Japanese clients, such as Hitachi-Omron TS, NEC Tokin, Daiwa House Industry, Asics and JSR with their investments in Korean companies. Further, she also has extensive experience in representing Korean clients, such as the LG Household & Health care, Pulmuone in their investments in Japanese companies for joint ventures and strategic alliances. Ms. Park received her Bachelor's Degree in Law from the Seoul National University, where she has also completed her graduate course work. She also received Master’s Degree in UCLA Law School of LL.M. She is admitted to the Korean Bar and the New York State Bar. She has experience in working for Mori Hamada & Matsumoto, Yodoyabashi & Yamagami LPC and after completing her studies at the f Graduate School of Law, Kyoto University, was a foreign co-researcher. Ms. Park is fluent in Korean, Japanese and English.
