Junghwan Maeng is a partner at Lee & Ko and a renowned specialist in international IP litigation, technology company transaction, and international arbitration. He graduated from Seoul Science High School, Korea's top specialized school for gifted students. He majored in computer science and developed computer software at Seoul National University and IBM affiliate. Notably, he is a distinguished pundit in legal matters regarding computer software and copyright. He holds a doctorate in law from Seoul National University Graduate School of Law, studied at Stanford Law School, and worked at Morgan Lewis in Silicon Valley. He has handled significant cross-border IP disputes, such as POSCO v. Nippon Steel, and technology company transaction matters in multiple jurisdictions around the world. He has dealt with various international arbitration cases at the ICC, LCIA, and HKIAC as well. He is serving as a chair of the North and South America Committee in the Seoul Bar Association and as a counsel to various governmental committees. He also works from Lee & Ko PanGyo Office and provides comprehensive and focused advice to meet the progressive needs of industrial innovation and IT companies.
