Bio

Patricia Farnsworth provides legal advice to privately held business clients and counsels a variety of established and start-up business clients and entrepreneurs. She regularly handles the purchase and sale of businesses, venture capital and commercial finance, securities and intellectual property matters, shareholder matters, business disputes, and employment matters. Trish has broad experience in the area of employment law representing both employers and employees. She advises clients on a wide range of employment issues including discrimination, hiring and firing, executive compensation, employment agreements, non-compete agreements, wage and hour laws, workplace policies and employee handbooks, employee discipline, leave of absence issues including matters related to the Family Medical Leave Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act. In addition, Trish also has a significant practice pertaining to alcoholic beverage law. She advises clients in a variety of licensing matters including obtaining or transferring licenses and permits as well as disciplinary matters and local, state and federal violations, for a variety of restaurants, hotels and other retailers, wholesalers and suppliers. Outside of the practice of law, Trish serves on the Board of Directors of The Edinburg Center, a private non-profit 501(c)(3) agency whose mission is to provide an array of innovative services which promote personal growth and independence, foster hope and enhance the quality of life of people with mental health conditions, co-occurring substance use conditions and/or developmental disabilities.
