Maria Bekke Eiersted Bio

Maria Bekke Eiersted joined Kromann Reumert in 2010. Maria specialises in employment and labour law. Maria has many years’ experience as an employment and labour law specialist, advising at both executive and non-executive level on e.g. the negotiation of severance agreements, M&A, incentive pay, general employment law issues, and dispute resolution. She takes a particular interest in collective labour law and the rules governing employee representation on boards. Maria has previously worked with general company law and M&A at Kromann Reumert, and as employment law adviser she takes advantage of her knowledge and experience in this area. Maria is further an enthusiastic speaker at seminars, giving frequent lessons on Danish employment law to both Danish and foreign HR employees. Furthermore, Maria advises especially on incentive schemes, collective labour law, working-time regulation, employment related matters of ESG and whistleblower schemes. In addition to her work as a legal advisor, Maria is knowledge ambassador within employment and labour law, being responsible for driving and strengthening the sharing of knowledge in the practice group and for ensuring that her colleagues are updated on changes in practice and current legislation.
