Rashmi Deshpande is a Senior Partner in K Law’s Bengaluru office. She heads the real estate practice of the Firm advising clients on transactions across various locations in India Prior to joining K Law, Rashmi was working with Khaitan & Co LLP as partner in the Bangalore office, heading the real estate practice across South India. Rashmi joined Khaitan & Co LLP in 2013 and set up the real estate practice, growing from strength to strength every year. Rashmi started her practice in 2001 with Mr. Ashok Haranahalli, Senior Counsel and former Advocate General of Karnataka. She has successfully handled cases in High Court of Karnataka and various courts and tribunals on varied subjects, primary among them related to property matters. She was also part of the team that drafted and finalized the Building Bye – Laws of BBMP in 2003. Rashmi also worked with Amarchand & Mangaldas & Suresh A Shroff & Co in the real estate and dispute resolution team. Rashmi comes with vast experience in the field of real estate and dispute resolution and has advised clients on a wide variety of matters ranging from title due diligence, leasing, setting up of integrated-township, SEZ development, private equity investment in real estate, debt funding, estate planning, RERA, disputes and arbitration in real estate transaction.
