Mathias Schmid Bio

Mathias works in the areas of corporate law, mergers & acquisitions and project finance. Thanks to his education in Austria and France, he is particularly familiar with the challenges of cross-border corporate development. Mathias advises French and foreign companies at all stages of their acquisition or divestment projects: from the initial contacts between the parties, during the legal review, through the negotiation of the contractual documentation, to the integration of the target into the acquirer’s structure. In general, he assists the firm’s clients on all corporate law matters and equity transactions (capital increases/decreases, securities issues, mergers, demergers, contribution of assets, etc.). He also assists clients who wish to acquire assets in the context of insolvency proceedings. Mathias has also developed significant expertise in project (re)financing and regularly advises banks and borrowers, particularly in the renewable energy sector.
