Otabek Suleymanov is a Partner in the Tashkent office. Otabek’s major practice focus includes Corporate / M&A and Banking & Finance. Sector-wise he primarily focuses on chemicals, mining, oil & gas and energy. His typical clients are involved in asset purchase, privatization, investment, setting up corporate structures, entering into concessions and investment agreements with Uzbek government. Otabek maintains strong working relationships with Uzbek government and leading state-owned enterprises and is recognized by clients and major international legal directories as one of the “go to on-ground” experts for international law firms and foreign corporations. He has been actively involved in drafting of several key laws in Uzbekistan, including PPP law, Law on Nuclear Energy, Law on Electric Power, Law on Investments and Investment Activity, Law on Insurance Activity. He also worked on countless number of project related decrees and resolutions of Uzbek Government and the President.
