David Caplan Bio

David Caplan is a Partner and the General Counsel at Atairos. David joined Atairos after serving for over 20 years as a Partner at the law firm of Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP, where he served as the head of the firm’s Global Mergers & Acquisitions practice. At Davis Polk, David advised clients on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and securities law and corporate governance matters, and led client relationships across a wide range of industries. Among other clients, he served as the principal outside corporate lawyer for Comcast for close to a decade. David is a member of the Board of Directors of AgentHome, Ardán (Westcor Land Title Insurance Company), Ocean Outdoor and The Orogen Group. David is a graduate of Princeton University and Harvard Law School.
