Brian Brown practice covers a wide range of corporate matters, from counseling start-ups on business formation to representing industry leaders on corporate reorganizations, divestitures, and complex, large-scale mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures. Working predominately with domestic and international clients in the life science and health care industries, Brian’s practice is focused on mergers, acquisitions, corporate governance issues, negotiating commercial contracts and agreements, and providing tax-related advice. Prior to joining the firm, Brian was a partner in the Raleigh, North Carolina office of an international law firm in its M&A and Corporation Transactions practice group and was a member of its Life Sciences Industry team. Brian served as a Judge Advocate General Officer in the United States Air Force from 1982 to 1987. Brian was listed as a 2016 “Client Service All-Star” in the area of Corporate/M&A by BTI Consulting Group, one of the leading independent research and consulting groups. In addition, Brian was named a “Legal Elite” in 2006 and 2009 by Business North Carolina magazine for Tax and Estate Planning.
