Phil Ahern is an expert in commercial negotiation and dispute resolution and the head of the Auckland office’s commercial dispute resolution and employment team. He also has considerable experience in business law that can assist you by providing practical solutions to achieve your commercial goals. Phil will focus on outcomes you want to achieve, guide you through the processes and consider practical solutions to achieve the best outcome for you. Phil’s experience in dispute resolution and employment is extensive including the advising of nationwide retailers and trans-Tasman restructuring of Australasian entities. He has been involved in over 50 settlements achieved by formal mediations and informal negotiations. His involvement in extensive litigation including in relation to directors duties, receivers duties, security interests and copyright issues, insider trading and breach of commercial contracts has developed a wide understanding of the commercial obligations of parties which he now utilises to assist clients in creating and finalising commercial relationships that are pragmatic and effective. Phil is the primary author and co-presenter of the firm’s innovative Directors Duties seminar program, now presented to in excess of 50 participants.
