Peter’s practice is focused on advising business owners on the many legal issues that influence their day-to-day operations and long-term success. On every file, Peter’s priority is to listen to his clients to understand their objectives so that he can develop legal solutions that deliver results in a timely manner. His clients value his ability to focus on the issues that matter and his natural ability to discuss the implications of those issues in a clear and straightforward manner. Peter advises business owners from a variety of sectors on all aspects of their operations, from initial incorporation and shareholders agreements, to secured financing, acquisitions and sales. Many of his business clients benefit from his depth of experience in real estate when they are purchasing, selling, or leasing commercial property. Peter’s relationship with his clients extends to estate planning, where his knowledge of their business and personal affairs helps him to implement effective strategies that address their needs. Established commercial landlords and tenants count on Peter to draft, review and advise on commercial leases, where his experience and commitment to timely advice ensures that the specific terms of their leases address the unique requirements of each landlord-tenant relationship. Peter’s practice also includes advising business owners and trustees in bankruptcy on insolvency matters. Peter has served as an instructor in the Business Law section of the Law Society of Upper Canada’s Bar Admission course. He is a also a member of the Board of the St. Patrick’s Home of Ottawa Foundation and a past member of the Board of Directors of HelpAge Canada.
