Bert Theeuwes is a partner in the firm’s Brussels, Belgium office. Mr. Theeuwes has a background in corporate law and a practice focus on employment law, reorganizations, international mobility and compensation & benefits. He has extensive experience in international transactions including mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Theeuwes deals with employment agreements, employment regulations and policies, health-and-safety issues, and all recruitment, hiring and dismissal-related issues. Mr. Theeuwes also has experience in transnational matters such as EU social security law, expatriation and business migration. He also assists companies with collective labor issues, trade union negotiations, collective actions (or redundancies), relocation and regulatory issues such as taxation or social security. Mr. Theeuwes deals with compensation and benefits issues, including advice on the different forms of compensation given to employees, executives and consultants, whether in the form of cash, stock-based compensation or other incentives or benefits such as insurance schemes or pension funds.
