Bio

Since her graduation from Hofstra University School of Law in 1993, Debra Miller Krebs has been practicing law in the New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. For the first several years of her legal career, Debbie worked at a well-known New York City personal injury law firm, where she defended a variety of personal injury lawsuits, including construction site accidents under the New York Labor Law, automobile accidents and trip and fall cases, as well as property damage lawsuits. She also handled insurance coverage disputes growing out of these personal injury matters. In addition, Debbie handled uninsured and underinsured motorist arbitrations Article 75 petitions relating to those types of arbitrations. Since 1998, Debbie has been focusing her practice in the field of insurance. She specializes in handling complex insurance coverage matters. She provides coverage opinions for insurance carriers, defends and prosecutes declaratory judgment actions and has assisted in the drafting of policy forms. Debbie has successfully defended insurance companies against claims alleging bad faith and seeking punitive, consequential and other extra-contractual damages. She also highly experienced in representing insurance agents and brokers. On a regular basis, she communicates with agents and brokers regarding loss prevention issues and defends liability claims asserted against insurance agents and brokers. Debbie also handles liability claims involving other types of professionals, including actions involving actions against actuaries and third-party administrators involving pension plans. For several years Debbie also sat as mediator and arbitrator in the New York City Civil Court. Debbie joined Keidel, Weldon & Cunningham, LLP in 2010. ​
