Kate Miao Bio

Kate Miao graduated from Peking University with master degree in law. Ms. Miao joined in Jingtian & Gongcheng as a partner since 2019.Prior to this, she worked in the famous Japan law firm for 13 years as a consultant. Ms. Miao specializes in foreign investment, M&A, outbound investment, corporate and commercial law, labor and employment, dispute resolution, etc. In the area of foreign investment, Ms. Miao has represented dozens of Japan companies in the fields of medicine, real estate development, automobile, trade, education, advertising, chemical industry, logistics, food, cosmetics and TMT, etc. in setting up domestic subsidiaries and providing comprehensive legal services for their daily operation. Ms. Miao also has extensive experience in the area of M&A. She has provided a wide range of legal services for overseas investor and listed companies from Japan to carry out trans-border M&A, including conducting due diligence, designing transaction structure, participating in negotiation, drafting legal documents and issuing legal opinions.
