Yuanpeng Lang graduated from Southwest University of Political Science and Law with Bachelor of Law in 1995 and Foreign Affairs College with Master of International Law in 2004 respectively. Mr. Lang was a visiting scholar at the University of Washington School of Law from November 2015 to March 2016. Prior to joining Jingtian & Gongcheng in 2004 and becoming a partner in 2007, Mr. Lang worked as the legal counsel with Changtong Cable (Group) Co., Ltd. from 1995 to 1998; an associate with Honesty Law Office from 1999 to 2001; and a senior consultant with World Jet (Hong Kong) Capital Limited from 2002 to 2004. Mr. Lang‘s main practice areas are domestic and overseas IPOs of PRC enterprises, bonds issuance, PE/VC, M&A, overseas investment, corporate compliance and structural financing, etc. Mr. Lang has been engaged in the international financing and IPO practice for PRC enterprises since early 2000. Mr. Lang has led and participated in numerous corporate restructurings, private equity financing, domestic and overseas IPOs, bonds issuance, M&A, overseas investment and structural financing. Mr. Lang focuses on securities offering and capital markets, including representing scores of companies in their IPOs on domestic stock exchanges (SSE/ SZSE) and international markets such as Hong Kong (HKEX), U.S. (NYSE/ NASDAQ), UK(Main Market/ Alternative Investment Market), Japan (TSE), Singapore (SGX) and Kuala Lumpur (KLSE). He has represented corporate clients across a range of industries, including healthcare and biotechnology, consumer, education, internet, new materials, new energy, high-end manufacturing, etc. In respect of M&A and overseas investment, Mr. Lang has extensive experience representing clients ranging from foreign investors, key SOEs and other large enterprises in M&A transactions both within and outside China, including in "Belt and Road" project investment. He provided legal services including investment environment research, conducting due diligence, transactions structuring, negotiation, draft transaction documents, providing legal opinions, assisting clients in closing the deal, etc. Mr. Lang is a registered lawyer to practice in the PRC. He further serves as the deputy director of IT/High-Tech Committee of the All China Lawyers Association, and the deputy director of the Company Law Committee of the Beijing Lawyers Association. Mr. Lang is a native Mandarin speaker with English fluency.
