Bio

Shengli Qiao graduated from No. 2 Foreign Languages Institute of Beijing with BA in 1996. He obtained his LL.M. in 2000 and Ph.D. in 2005 from Peking University Law School. Mr. Qiao worked in Institute of European Studies of Chinese Association of Social Sciences from 2005 to 2007 as a lecturer. He started his legal profession in Jingtian & Gongcheng in 2006. In 2007, he worked for Commerce & Finance Law Offices as an associate. In 2007, Mr. Qiao re-joined Jingtian & Gongcheng until now and became a partner in 2013. Mr. Qiao specializes in corporate and securities, foreign direct investment, M&A and labor and social security. In the area of corporate and securities, Mr. Qiao has assisted several domestic companies in their overseas listing. In terms of M&A and foreign direct investment, Mr. Qiao has assisted overseas private equity funds and other investors in several successful M&A cases involving domestic equities. In the area of labor and social security, as a general retainer Mr. Qiao has served affiliates in the PRC of several international enterprises including Airbus. Mr. Qiao was admitted to the PRC bar in 1999. Mr. Qiao is a native mandarin speaker and is fluent in English.
