Bio

Maoxian Qin graduated from East China University of Political Science and Law with an LLM degree in Economic Law. Mr. Qin joined Jingtian & Gongcheng in 2013 and was elected as a partner by the partners’ meeting of our firm in 2014. Prior to this, he worked with Sinolink Securities as a legal manager and DeHeng Law Offices as an associate and a partner. Mr. Qin specializes in asset management business, including trust, asset management plans (of security companies, subsidiaries of fund companies, insurance institutions, and futures companies), private equity (PE) funds, real estate funds, and other funds with the structure of limited partnership; asset securitization; securities issuance and capital markets. In the area of asset management, Mr. Qin has provided a wide range of legal services, including conducting due diligence, designing transaction structure, participating in negotiation, drafting legal documents, and issuing legal opinions. Mr. Qin’s clients include famous companies such as Hwabao Trust, Sino-Australian International Trust, Shenyin & Wanguo Securities, Xinhua Innovation Capital, Industrial Asset Management, China Life Investment, New China Fushi, Wanjia Gongying Asset, SAIF Partners, BioVeda Biomedical Fund, Shoushan Wealth, Hengchang Wealth, etc. Mr. Qin was admitted to PRC bar in 2004. Mr. Qin takes up the following social positions: lecturer on PE at China Law Training Center; lecturer on trust business at Xinzejin; distinguished lecturer at President Class on PE/Stock Listing of Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Zhejiang University; director of professional committee on venture capital at the Investment Association of China; executive director of Alumni Association of Chinese Venture Capital Investors; member of the research committee on funds at Shanghai Bar Association.
