Bio

Jing Xie graduated from Columbia Law School with a Master of Law degree in 2013 (with honors of Fubon Fellowship and Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar), from Peking University with a Master of Law degree in 2007 and from Nanjing University with a Bachelor of Law degree and a dual Bachelor degree in Economics in 2005. Jing XIE joined Jingtian & Gongcheng as a partner in 2020. Prior to joining the firm, Jing was a partner of Zhong Lun Law Firm. Prior to that, Jing worked at other prestigious leading PRC and international law firms including Fangda Partners, Haiwen & Partners and Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP. Jing worked at tier 1 law firms for more than ten years. She has led or was involved in more than one hundred merger and acquisition, private equity investment/exit, foreign direct investment, fund, capital market, compliance and general commercial projects, with a focus on the industries including TMT, consumption, real estate, healthcare, and entertainment. Jing has provided legal services for various reputable international and PRC institutional clients, such as Goldman Saches, Hill House, Sequoia, Yufeng, PAG, Alibaba, Face++, Dianrong.com, CAA, CVRD, New World, Bank of America Merry Lynch, and CICC etc. Jing has extensive experiences in handling complicated transactions, particularly in structure designing, preparation of transaction documents and negotiations. She is familiar with PRC clients’ commercial needs as well as has a global vision. she has been successfully providing practical and creative solutions in many complicated and significant M&A and PE investment transactions. Jing is qualified to practice law in the PRC and in New York, and is fluent in Mandarin and English.
