Jean Qian is a partner at Jingtian & Gongcheng (Shanghai). Prior to joining Jingtian, Jean worked at two leading PRC law firms in Shanghai and a magic circle firm in Hong Kong. Jean specializes in mergers & acquisitions, real estate, PE fund investments, foreign direct investment and general corporate law. During the past ten years, she has advised and represented multinational firms, large Chinese corporations, and investment institutions, such as KKR, Shui On, Storhub, Black Kite Property, GLP, Ferring Pharmaceuticals, Shanghai Electric, CIMC Vehicles, Quest Diagnostics, the American Bureau of Shipping, Bureau Veritas, SK China, Prosegur Security, DT Capital Partners, CDIB and Shanghai Bund Investment Group. Jean graduated from the Law School of University of International Business and Economics in Beijing with LL.B. and LL.M degrees. She obtained her LL.M. degree from Harvard Law School in 2007. Jean is fluent in English, Mandarin and the Shanghai Chinese dialect.
