Eric Jiang is an Equity Partner at Jingtian & Gongcheng, one of the top eight “Red Circle” law firms in China. He is admitted to All Mainland Provinces/China, New York/USA, and Ontario/Canada. Mr. Jiang studied and researched laws for 14 years in reputable law schools within and outside China, achieving a Bachelor of Laws degree from Peking University, a Master of Jurisprudence degree from Peking University, a Master of Laws degree from Queen’s University, and a Juris Doctor degree from York University. Mr. Jiang received further professional trainings in the relevant bar associations and law societies. Mr. Jiang was a faculty member at the School of Law of Peking University, and taught at a number of continuing legal education programs for judges, public prosecutors, lawyers and government officials. He was involved in the researches on and drafting of some important PRC laws including the Judicial Review Act and the State Compensation Act. He also worked for several governmental agencies including the Environmental Protection Agency. Mr. Jiang has worked at multiple law firms within and outside China. He was an expert consultant to the PRC Ministry of Commerce on the Doha Round WTO rules negotiation and has spoken for multiple times at the international trade law training sessions held by the MOFCOM. He also held lectures on corporate and commercial law for the International MBA Programme at Tsinghua University, and on competition law for clients in multiple European countries. He is a Visiting Professor to the China National Lawyers College, and a Consulting Expert to the China Supreme Procuratorate on civil and administrative law matters. He is also a member to the Customs and International Trade Law Committee, Antitrust Law Committee, Corporate and M&A Law Committee, Law Firm Management Committee, Crossborder Practice Management Committee, and Foreign Affairs Committee respectively at the International Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the Beijing Lawyers Association. Mr. Jiang’s practice involves many areas of law, including corporate governance and compliance, capital markets, mergers & acquisitions, import regulation, export controls, sanctions, antitrust, emission reductions and carbon trading, ESG, and litigation and arbitration. He is a leading practitioner in corporate governance and compliance, antidumping/WTO/international trade, administrative law and judicial review, and cross-border investments, international arbitration and other internationally-related areas. Mr. Jiang has been accredited and included by the PRC Ministry of Justice in its “Roster of 1000 Lawyers for Internationally-related Practice”, by the All China Lawyers Association in its “Roster of Lawyers for the One Belt and One Road Projects”, by the Beijing Lawyers Association in its “Roster of Lawyers for International Matters”, etc.
