Sijmen has over 22 years of experience in international corporate M&A transactions. Sijmen is partner and expertise leader responsible within HVG Law for strategic transaction law, M&A, private equity, growth equity, management incentive plans and legal due diligence services. Sijmen has served (international) clients in more than 600 acquisition and divestment transactions. He specializes also in all aspects of management participations and shareholder litigation. Many of his clients are active in the industry of technology, transport & logistics and offshore, or have the signature of a family business. Sijmen has several times been nominated at the Dutch M&A Awards gala, as one of the best Dutch M&A lawyers in the category Best M&A Lawyer Mid-market (transactions with a value between EUR 5-250 M). A transaction led by Sijmen as deal captain has by peers been nominated at a national conference as Best Mid-market M&A Transaction.
