With a strong background in business and corporate law, Cartwright Bibee is a deal lawyer who focuses his practice on tax credit transactions and M&A. For much of the last decade, Carty has represented tax equity investors throughout the investment process, with an emphasis on solar projects. He also has experience with a wide variety of tax credits at both the federal and state levels, and he has worked on projects across the country. His tax credit work involves managing and directing the transaction process from the initial term sheet stage; to diligence and transaction document preparation, negotiation and execution; through closing. Alongside this tax credit practice, Carty has significant experience in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and other negotiated transactions, including acquisitions and sales of solar projects. His deal work is centered on the middle market, primarily involving private companies across a variety of industries. Carty takes pride in getting deals done, and he’s known for his ability to take a practical view in crafting solutions for challenges that arise during the transaction process.
