Thomas Christensen is a Senior Director with the firm and represents clients in commercial litigation matters. Tom has obtained successful results in cases involving disputes among shareholders of closely held businesses, probate and trust disputes, construction disputes, trademark infringement, breach of contract and the Uniform Commercial Code, fraud, unfair competition, non-competition agreements, and commercial mortgage foreclosures. Tom also represents creditors in bankruptcy cases, and handles matters such as avoidance claims and preference actions. Tom is a member of the Illinois Bar, the Trial Bar of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, and is also admitted to practice in federal courts in Michigan and Wisconsin. Tom has tried countless cases to final judgment and through the appeals process as lead counsel in state and federal courts, and many of his cases have resulted in published judicial opinions. Tom combines a results-oriented, practical approach with aggressive and zealous representation to obtain the best outcome for clients in an efficient and expeditious manner. Tom received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Elmhurst College and his law degree from Valparaiso University School of Law. Tom lives in Wheaton with his wife and their two daughters. Tom is active in the legal community, as a member of the DuPage County and Illinois State Bar Associations. Tom serves as an adjunct professor at Elmhurst University teaching a mock trial class, and has served as a judge and evaluator in moot court and mock trial competitions.
