Bio

Christopher Horner II is a founding member of Holzman Horner PLLC and has dedicated his career to counseling shareholders, boards of directors, and executives of closely held businesses in connection with liquidity strategies, business succession planning and corporate governance matters. In addition, Chris represents ERISA fiduciaries and lenders in connection with a variety of matters relating to employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs). Chris is also a Managing Director of AmbroseAdvisors™, a middle-market investment bank and financial advisory firm advising business owners with business succession planning, liquidity strategies and capital placements. Prior to co-founding Holzman Horner PLLC, Chris was a member of the mergers and acquisitions and federal taxation practice groups in the Washington, D.C. office of an AmLaw 200 law firm. Chris received his juris doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law where he served on the editorial board of the Virginia Law Review. He also received his Bachelor of Arts degrees magna cum laude in both Economics & Commerce and Greek & Latin from Hampden-Sydney College where he served as an investment manager of a portion of the college’s endowment. Chris is an associate member of the Legislative and Regulatory Advisory Committee of The ESOP Association and a member of the National Center for Employee Ownership. Chris frequently writes and speaks on contemporary legal and financial issues affecting closely held businesses. In addition, Chris is a member of the American Bar Association, Commonwealth of Virginia Bar Association and District of Columbia Bar Association.
