As partner in the Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) team in the Corporate and Finance practice in Hong Kong, Tommy Liu specializes in strategic transaction structuring and complex contractual arrangements for TMT-related projects. In addition to TMT, he has key sector experience within the financial services, sponsorship, commodity, retail and media sectors. His in-depth experience includes preparing complex contracts for outsourcings; technology licensing and development; content licensing; electronic payments; distribution, marketing and supply of goods and services; and TMT/IP-focused mergers and acquisitions, separations, restructurings and joint ventures. As an extension of his practice, Tommy advises on regulatory, data privacy, contractual dispute negotiation and intellectual property-related matters, including addressing regulatory issues for complex cross-border contracts, business dissolution agreements, and on-going IP and branding issues. Tommy also works with the wider Hogan Lovells Corporate and Finance team on complex acquisitions, separation and joint venture matters, including long-term transitional and service delivery arrangements.
