Coming from a family of MBAs, business was always in Liz Banks' blood. She found a way to mix her inherited interest in business with her love of law by becoming a corporate attorney. In her practice, Liz represents large corporations, primarily real estate investment trusts (REITs), on various securities matters, including debt and equity securities offerings, SEC disclosures, stockholder meetings, Section 16 matters, stock market listing standards, and ongoing corporate governance advice. Liz also has a proven record of effectively executing complex transactions, including spin-offs and mergers and acquisitions. In college, Liz developed a passion for the nonprofit world. She worked for a D.C.-based cancer foundation before heading to law school, where she ran Harvard's Public Interest Auction. She remains passionate about helping nonprofits through her pro bono work.
