David Harrison Bio

David has 15 years of experience working in Vietnam, focusing his practice on complex M&A transactions as well as corporate and project financings in Vietnam and other emerging Asian Markets. Whilst David’s experience spans a broad range of transactions, he has a particular sector focus on energy (including LNG and renewable energy projects) and financial institutions. David has advised foreign investors on mergers and acquisitions, including Vietnamese commercial banks and corporate targets in Vietnam and other emerging Asian markets, such as Cambodia, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, and Bangladesh. David has extensive experience advising private equity firms and sponsors on their investments in Vietnam and emerging Asia. Multilateral and commercial lenders and agents seek David's advice on a broad range of secured and subordinated credit facilities across sectors including real estate financings and projects. David has advised on Tier 2 Capital financings and highly structured private credit transactions. David also spent six years practicing in New York with a Magic Circle firm and prominent US firm, focusing on structured finance, banking and finance, and restructurings. He was also a US foreign service officer for five years, serving in Vietnam and Venezuela.
