Bio

Matt Noon has acted for a wide variety of clients (including quoted public companies, private companies, entrepreneurs and institutional investors) and has extensive experience in a variety of industrial sectors. His main focus is in relation to mainstream mergers and acquisitions (M&A) work covering share and asset acquisitions and disposals, mergers and corporate joint ventures. Transactions include acting for Tactus Group on the recent acquisitions of Box Limited and CCL Computers, acting for Steve Parry MBE and Becky Adlington MBE on the sale of 60% of Total Swimming Limited to JD Sports, acting for the shareholders of Coeus Consulting Limited on the sale to Wavestone Group of the entire issued share capital of Coeus Consulting Limited and acting for Challenge TRG Group on the acquisition of PMP Recruitment. Matt has a breadth of experience in the corporate market (both locally and nationally) and acts for a variety of different clients in a variety of sectors and locations. Well thought of by his peers (both internally and externally) he is recommended by both The Legal 500 and Chambers as a leading individual. Matt went to school in Liverpool, read law at Durham University, completed the LPC at Chester Law School and then trained as a solicitor at DLA Piper in Liverpool before qualifying. After qualification, he worked for DLA Piper and Halliwells before joining Hill Dickinson in 2010, becoming a partner in 2013. Matt was on the Hill Dickinson LLP board as an elected member from May 2018 to April 2022 before accepting the role of head of Hill Dickinson’s Liverpool office. Matt has led the Liverpool corporate, banking and commercial team since 2020. He is a trustee of the Wirral Youth Zone (The Hive), the head of the Professional Liverpool Corporate Finance group, a member of the LEP’s professional and business services board and the skills and education board and recently stood down by rotation after being a director of Professional Liverpool for six years.
