Dr. Elmar Bickert specializes in real estate and construction law including property related energy and environmental law. He has been dealing with the entire life cycle of real estate for many years with a particular focus on project development, financing, planning, construction, modernisation, operation, management, use, as well as the acquisition and sale of property. His expertise covers real estate portfolios consisting of various asset classes and owned by national and international clients, complex major construction projects in the public sector, the commercial construction sector, construction sector abroad and plant engineering, heritable building rights, building contractor law and condominium property law, tenancy and leasing law, real estate brokerage law, architecture and engineering law, commercial law as well as the law governing project development, renewable energy sources, asset/property management and real estate transactions. Moreover, he provides strategic advice with regard to the enforcement and defense against claims in and out of court. Before joining Heussen in 2018, Dr. Elmar Bickert has been working at international law firms in the area of real estate and construction law, as a student and research assistant since 2000 and finally as a lawyer since 2009.
