Rachel Baranello Bio

Rachel Baranello counsels Industrial Development Agencies and Local Development Corporations as they administer financial incentive programs designed to help build New York’s economy. She has extensive experience in connection with straight-lease, tax-exempt and taxable bond financings for 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organizations, manufacturing companies, multifamily housing projects and other qualifying projects; and in real estate and related transactions, including PILOT increment financings. By guiding private-sector clients through tax-exempt incentives, she supports projects that provide employment growth to communities and new business opportunities to borrowers. Rachel is a member of our Municipalities and Local Agencies Industry Team comprised of about 30 attorneys who provide counsel to municipal and agency clients across New York in areas such as general municipal, environmental, energy, land use and zoning, cybersecurity and other areas of law.
