Christopher Feldman provides full-service representation to municipal and commercial clients throughout New York State. Numerous municipalities and school districts, rely on Chris to handle federal civil rights issues, including false arrest, excessive force, malicious prosecution, search and seizure, free speech, religious rights and employment discrimination. Chris represents municipalities on state law issues related to property and zoning disputes, tax certiorari matters, environmental issues, employment disputes and CPLR Article 78 proceedings. Various municipal entities turn to Chris to provide general counsel services. His equally diverse representation of private clients includes handling matters related to partnership disputes, breach of contract, tortious interference with business opportunities, unjust enrichment, products liability, mortgage foreclosures, wrongful death, defamation, property damage and collection matters. Chris’ keen understanding of his clients came from his experience serving in the City of Yonkers Law Department from 2007 to 2010 where he represented the City in state and federal civil defense litigation, as well as various land use and environmental matters. While working for the City, Chris also handled a number of special assignments, including serving as counsel to the Planning Board, Zoning Board of Appeals, Workforce Investment Board and the Yonkers Waterfront Development Corporation. Chris also represented Yonkers in matters before the New York State Public Service Commission, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and the State Division of Human Rights.
