Alexander Anolik has extensive experience representing clients in high-exposure litigation involving mass torts, products liability, premises liability and toxic exposures. He represents manufacturers, landlords and businesses, and works with them to raise their most effective defenses. Alex has substantial courtroom experience at trials, oral arguments and court conferences. He frequently defends construction companies and property owners in cases involving construction site accidents alleging liability under New York Labor Law §§ 200, 240(1), and 241(6). Alex also serves on a national coordinating counsel team and in that role oversees day-to-day management of cases in state and federal courts in numerous jurisdictions. From the inception of the case, Alex develops and implements a targeted defense to eliminate the claims against his clients or otherwise minimize their exposure. Prior to joining Harris Beach Murtha, Alex served as an Assistant Corporation Counsel in the Tort Division of the New York City Law Department. He defended municipal agencies in a variety of civil actions, including cases involving premises liability, motor vehicle accidents, police actions, toxic exposure and alleged governmental misconduct. Alex’s experience representing the City of New York helped him develop skills to handle a diverse array of civil actions swiftly and on favorable terms for his clients. He previously served as a legal intern for the Hon. Magistrate Judge Gary Brown, Eastern District of New York. Alex was named in the 2023 edition of Super Lawyers as a Rising Star and in the 2024 edition of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America.
