Ricardo Matteo has experience in acting for both lenders and borrowers in a wide range of transactions including general corporate banking, acquisition finance, real estate and development finance, project finance, housing finance, invoice and asset finance, shipping finance, crowd funding and restructuring/refinancing. Ricardo is regularly involved in complex and high-value transactions, many of them with multi-jurisdictional elements. He has expertise in, amongst other things, all forms of fixed and floating securities, guarantees, intercreditor issues, challengeable transactions and deal structuring, including drafting and updating standard form lending, security and guarantee documentation for many lenders operating in the UK market (with a particular focus on alternative lenders). Ricardo has advised on banking and finance matters across a variety of industry sectors including, amongst others, healthcare, marine, renewables, retail and food & drink. He has acted for most major lenders active in the UK market (including large international financial institutions) and many alternative and niche lenders. He also acts for many Scottish businesses advising on their banking and finance requirements.
