Deanna Carpenter takes an enthusiastic and meticulous approach to her work, delivering practical and commercial solutions and providing innovative ways to add value to clients and their business objectives. She combines her extensive expertise and collaborative manner to foster relationships with her team and clients, working towards a shared goal. Deanna specialises in a broad range of corporate transactions including, schemes of arrangements, takeovers, asset acquisitions and disposals. She also has a strong background advising on matters relating to capital raisings including, placements, rights issues, securities purchase plans, IPOs and backdoor listings. In addition to her transactional skillset, Deanna also advises on general corporate advisory matters including, advice on Corporations Act and ASX Listing Rules compliance, continuous and periodic disclosure obligations, corporate governance, directors’ duties, related party transactions, due diligence investigations, employee incentive schemes, board spills and shareholder meetings. Deanna also advises clients in relation to Takeovers Panel matters, as well as engagement with ASX and ASIC. Prior to joining Hamilton Locke, Deanna worked for firms including HWL Ebsworth Lawyers, Bellanhouse, and Minter Ellison. Deanna has also worked as a listings adviser with the ASX. Deanna is currently a Non-Executive Director of a number of ASX-listed entities.
