Wolfram Desch advises comprehensively in the areas of restructuring and insolvency as well as directors' and officers' liability and professional liability (including coverage law issues). Dr Desch heads the Restructuring and Insolvency Practice Group at GvW Graf von Westphalen. He advises companies in distressed situations on the design and implementation of out-of-court reorganizations or the preparation and implementation of insolvency proceedings. He also represents creditors in asserting their interests in crisis scenarios and in insolvency. He has particular expertise in the area of insolvency litigation (avoidance in insolvency, etc.). In addition, Dr Desch has a further focus of practice in the area of complex directors' and officers' liability and professional liability cases. He regularly represents managers (defense counsel) and well-known D&O insurers (coverage and monitoring counsel) in defending, in particular, corporate and insolvency law directors' and officers' liability claims and has handled several hundred cases in this respect. In this context, he also advises on all coverage law issues. In the area of professional liability, Mr. Desch defends tax advisors, auditors, management consultants and insolvency administrators. Dr Desch is co-head of the focus area insurance.
