Greg Volkmar is a corporate partner in our New York office.Greg’s practice is focused on the representation of emerging growth companies as well as venture capital and other private equity funds. Greg works with entrepreneurs as they form businesses, counsels companies through rounds of equity and debt financing, and acts as trusted counsel on corporate governance and securities law matters. As part of his company practice, Greg specializes on issues facing later-stage private companies, such as scaling their businesses, organizing secondary liquidity opportunities, and preparing for and executing mergers and acquisitions and public offerings. Greg also works extensively with venture capital and other private equity funds in their investment activities in the US and internationally, including equity and debt financings, mergers and acquisitions, and secondary liquidity transactions. His fund clients include many of the prominent venture capital funds based in New York and California as well as hedge funds active in the emerging company space. Greg’s experience includes leading investments into companies in nearly 20 jurisdictions worldwide. Before joining our New York office in 2012, Greg spent nine years practicing in our Silicon Valley office. Greg serves as the head of the corporate group in our New York office and is the co-chair of the firm’s investor-side financing and growth equity practices.
