Marco Franzini is one of the leading Italian experts in private equity, and boasts over thirty years of experience on the market. He started off his career as the in-house lawyer of Cariplo’s general secretariat (now named IntesaSanpaolo), and then moved on to work in national and international law firms in the context of which he has provided support in several private equity, financing, listing and M&A transactions, in support of leading funds such as Private Equity Partners, 3i, Permira, Mandarin Capital, banks such as UniCredit, Barclays, Banco BPM, Mediobanca, Bayernlb as well as national and international groups such as Al Dahra, Mirato, Micordata Group, among others. He has been involved in the establishment of the club deal Italian Design Brands and the subsequent eight acquisitions; the purchase of Agfa-Gevaert and the investment of Three Hills Capital for Health Holding Company; the restructuring of Al Dahra Investments’ European business; the establishment of Legacy Partners Search Fund, Italian Search Fund and Italian Search Fund Club.
