Member of the EU and EFTA Bar Association of the Canton of Ticino/Lugano-Switzerland and the Bar Association of Brescia-Italy. Member of the Association of Chartered Accountants of the Canton of Ticino and member, without executive authority, of some Boards of Directors of Chinese and Swiss companies. He engages in legal and tax consultancy activities and is one of the founders of Compagnia Fiduciaria Lombarda Spa (a trust company based in Milan and Brescia) and Helvetia Trust Company Sagl (a trustee company based in Lugano). He is also a founding member of Fondazione Lombarda Affidamenti, an organisation set up to promote the use of trusts for the protection of vulnerable people, which can act as trustee or guardian in the trusts set up under the so-called "dopo di noi" law. After his studies, in 1992, he completed his traineeship at the Carter, Ledyard & Milburn firm in New York, and at the Becker, Melamed & Muffly firm in New York in 1996. A former member of the IFA, International Fiscal Association, of the International Technical Committee of CERTI (Bocconi University of Milan) and of the Milan Chamber of Tax Lawyers, he has worked as a publicist, collaborating with the IPSOA magazine "Commercio Internazionale", and as an editorial consultant for the magazine "Trust & Trustee". He has been a lecturer at the "Corso di perfezionamento in diritto tributario dell'impresa" (specialist course in corporate tax law) of the Bocconi University, as well as a speaker in several workshops on international issues, in Italy and Switzerland. Over the last years, he has participated, as the person in charge of the project, to the performance of several transactions involving cross-border re-organization and transfers on behalf of several Italian and Swiss SMEs, and has provided advice for certain Swiss Banks and Italian Listed Companies.
