Bio

Sarah Riedl Clark is a partner in the Chicago office of Gordon & Rees and is a member of the Insurance practice group. She handles a wide variety of litigation and pre-suit matters, both locally and throughout the country. Ms. Clark counsels clients and litigates cases involving a wide variety of issues, including insurance coverage, cyber security, professional liability, fidelity & surety, employment law, and bank litigation. Prior to joining Gordon & Rees, Ms. Clark represented and defended numerous closely-held companies and Fortune 500 businesses in wide-ranging matters, including tort liability defense, products liability, directors and officers liability, construction, condominium association disputes, and transportation. Ms. Clark has extensive experience conducting settlement negotiations and preparing cases for trial, handling all aspects of pre-trial procedure. She has successfully argued and defended motions for summary judgment, motions to dismiss, and other substantive motions. She has also pursued appeals in the Appellate Court of Illinois, First District; the Appellate Court of Illinois, Fifth District; and the Supreme Court of Illinois. Ms. Clark received her Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University, School of Law. While in law school, she was a member of the Moot Court Board. She was also a member of the Journal of Business and Intellectual Property, on which she served as the Development Editor during her third year. Ms. Clark interned in the United States Bankruptcy Court, Middle District of North Carolina, and participated in the Litigation Clinic. She also served as a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant in the Business Law Masters Program. Ms. Clark received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
