Bio

Kirsten M. Gough is a Partner in the Environmental/Toxic Tort and Commercial Litigation practice groups. She specializes in the defense of complex environmental claims, mass toxic tort cases, and product liability actions. Ms. Gough has extensive experience representing Fortune 500 companies in claims involving alleged groundwater contamination, site cleanup and remediation, natural resources damages, and legacy asbestos exposure. Ms. Gough has represented companies at every stage of preparing a case for trial including case evaluation, e-discovery, witness and expert depositions, dispositive motions, and motions in limine. As a growing component of today’s legal landscape, Ms. Gough has counseled clients on their e-discovery obligations, both internally and in the context of litigation. She has guided clients through searching for, collecting, analyzing and producing data, as well as utilizing various platforms to distill massive amounts of information into complex legal strategies and narratives. Clients have relied on her experience in both state court and Multi-District Litigation in federal court. As a graduate of the University of Notre Dame Law School, she was active in the Student Bar Association Honor Council and served as an Executive Editor of the Journal of College and University Law. Prior to law school Ms. Gough graduated magna cum laude from the University of New Mexico. Before joining Gordon & Rees in 2015, Ms. Gough was an associate at an Am Law 100 firm in St. Louis and Chicago where her practice focused on complex toxic tort litigation. Outside of the office, Ms. Gough enjoys running, cycling, and trying to keep up with her three young daughters and Irish doodle puppy. She is a proud Navy spouse and is active in the Military Spouse J.D. Network, volunteering her time through Justice for Military Families, which provides pro bono legal services to Gold Star families.
