Jamie Gross is a member of the Food & Beverage, Environmental/Toxic Tort and Employment Practice Groups and focuses her practice on complex, high stakes civil litigation. In doing so, Ms. Gross is focused on producing extraordinary results for her clients. As a member of the Food & Beverage Group, Ms. Gross has extensive experience defending her clients against outbreaks tied to pathogenic organisms including listeria monocytogenes, E. coli, and salmonella. Ms. Gross represents food manufacturers and distributors in response to food outbreak crisis response, as well as in nationwide food borne illness litigation. As a member of the Environmental/Toxic Tort practice group, Ms. Gross also specializes in the defense of complex environmental claims, toxic tort and product liability claims. She represents a wide range of entities in her practice, including corporations, manufacturers, product suppliers, property owners, insurance companies, municipalities, homeowners’ associations and construction companies. Ms. Gross has defended her clients in matters involving groundwater contamination, mold contamination, asbestos contamination/exposure and environmental, occupational and industrial exposures to a myriad of chemicals and toxic substances. Ms. Gross also vigorously defends her clients in products liability matters and professional negligence cases throughout California. Ms. Gross defends employers in state and federal courts throughout California as well as before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH). Ms. Gross defends employers against claims of wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment (including sexual harassment), wage and hour issues, retaliation, breach of contract, and other employment-related claims. Ms. Gross advises her clients on its employee handbooks and related policies, and also provides counseling to employers on a variety of issues, including personnel matters, hiring, termination, employee classification, medical and disability leaves.
